Tell me a little bit about who you are and what you do.
Hi! I'm Chrissy. Starting LÄ’VO in 2016 changed my life and awoke my love of making products that people love! I always knew that my corporate career was a means to an end and was moonlighting LÄ’VO for some time. I like to see ideas come to life, whether they're mine or someone who I can support in doing so.
I am inspired by characters like Willy Wonka that bring people fun products and amazing experiences. On a daily basis, I do whatever I think will help get more awesome products and experiences out there. The result is that I wear a lot of hats.
What made you fall in love with infusion?
I have suffered from severe migraines since I was in the 6th grade. A neurologist I finally saw in high school taught me about all the potentials triggers in daily life and the value of learning from other people who suffer from migraines through reading online forums. I instantly became a DIY person and to this day love to live as much of my life as "homemade" as possible.
Infusion is one of the most versatile hacks I learned along the way that lets you scent, flavor, or otherwise boost something that you're cooking or making without any harmful processes or additives. I love that one thing can have so many applications — how efficient!
How has infusion impacted your life, if at all?
Infusion has absolutely changed my life! I feel so much more creative these days when it comes to making something on my own. What started as a practical thing or a need for my health has become fun thanks to infusion! It really does bring your creations to life and makes DIY more of an adventure that's totally tailored to you!
What’s your favorite thing to infuse at home?
A very nostalgic recipe for me is making homemade body scrub. I love feeling fancy while also feeling more healthy and less wasteful. A dear friend's mom taught me the recipe more than a decade ago and I love to share it. Life hack! Infusion + salt or sugar + lemon or orange juice = better than store bought scrub!
What’s one tip you have for those just starting their infüsiast journey?
Put some love into it! When you're making something for yourself, think of it as YOU time. When you're making something to share, think of it as the expression of love that it is. Nothing warms hearts like homemade goodies! How thoughtful!
